Sans Ceuticals

Another label from Kiwiland (NZ) is Sans Ceuticals, a professional hair salon label with hair and body care.

I have had my eyes on this label ever since I lived in Sydney and people got talking about it.

I just love the soft hazy feel of the brand!

Rahua

Another organic hair care label I want to know more about is Rahua. Based on the Amazon oil called Rahua, the products are said to make dry, damaged strands spring to life with renewed, bouncy elasticity, color treatments remain shiny and vibrantly true, and irritated scalps calmed.

The bottles look so exklusive and I believe they would make my bathroom look fabulous alongside my current favorite label, Rostedt!

Less is More

I'm really curious about Less is More organic hair care and am about try it out, anyone that tried them already?

Finding good organic skin care is a piece of cake compared to hair care and I am hoping for this label to give me the results I so dearly desire!

I believe this is the next label to be all the rage here in Sweden as I have already seen them mentioned in some of the largest fashion magazines.

Modern organic hair care mixed with traditional Thai remedies. Very exciting products leading the way on the organic hair care scene.

Rostedt products are of superior quality and having bought Sebumatic Shampoo and Just a Moment Conditioner I am a total Rostedt fan forever! The scent is heavenly and my hair is healthier than ever. Next product to try is their new body lotion with jasmine, mmmmm, I love jasmine.

Hair powder

Lulu Organics hair powder can be used on those days when you don't feel like washing your hair or just don't have the time. It can be used like a dry shampoo and is a really efficient way of making your cool hairstyle look non greasy and feel fresher without a wash.

The hair powder is easy to apply either right out of the can that has two different openings, or with your hands. One opening is quite large and is better if you want to apply the hair powder with your hands, the other opening has many little holes if you want to dab your roots using the can.

The organic hair powder has a gentle scent of lavender and can, if you apply extra, give your hair a matte feeling which I love. It also helps if you want to give your hair a fuller feeling and a messier look. I use it almost every day as it makes my blonde hairstyle so much easier to fix.

This fabulous product from Lulu Organics is a new favorite of mine both as a dry shampoo and styling product, it's really hard to find dry shampoos that work and as this one doubles as a styling product it's a bargain! Can be found at Saffron Rouge, click here to get there and start shopping.

A big bonus is that it's certified organic and therefore is gentle on your scalp and doesn't harm our beautiful environment.

Why use organic hair care?

Why use organic hair care?
The scalp is a part of our bodies that, together with any other part that grows hair, absorbs everything we put on even more efficiently due to the hair follicles. The hair follicles creates an open entrance to our body where the chemicals in non organic products can cause great harm. Many common ingredients in the non organic hair care products are known cancerogens, allergens and skin irritants, and many people suffering from the most common symptoms such as skin rashes, eczema, and dandruff are not aware of why they are suffering, and are using more harmful chemicals to treat their problems.

By using certified organic hair care you can be sure that you are avoiding all harmful and synthetic chemicals, but make sure that the products you purchase are certified organic. A big problem today is that many manufacturers of non organic hair care are labeling their products as 'organic' and 'natural' which they may not even be. A classified natural product can contain as little as 3% natural ingredients and still be classified as a 'natural' product. The other 97% can be as synthetic as they want to.

Organic Shampoo

The miessence organic hair care range is made using only natural ingredients.

Desert Flower organic shampoo is very mild and contains yucca juice and polyglucose to gently cleanse the hair while panthenol moisturises. Organic avocado oil restores lustre and hydrates dry and damaged hair ends, and organic herbs add sheen and body.

Dandruff. To treat dandruff you can add one drop of lavender essential oil and one drop of tea tree essential oil to every tablespoon of shampoo. Only blend a small amount and start with mixing the drops together in an empty round bottle. Mix the essential oils gently by rolling the bottle between your hands, then add the shampoo, put the top on and turn the bottle upside down a couple of times to mix. The reason why it is important to mix the oils gently is to preserve them and not crush them and therefore minimize their healing properties.

Dandruff treatment. To make your own dandruff treatment mix 2 drops of lavender essential oil with two drops of tea tree oil to one tablespoon of avocado or almond oil. Mix in the same way as for the shampoo. Use the treatment once a week or whenever the scalp is extra flaky.

The Lemon Myrtle Shampoo is a gentle cleanser and purifier for normal to oily hair, or for a deep cleanse after using a lot of styling products.

Organic conditioner

Shine Herbal Conditioner hydrates, conditions and protects the hair with nourishing and emollient moringa seed oil from Tanzania. Pro-vitamin B5 (panthenol) and organic herbs promote lustre and body. Naturally balances the pH with organic apple cider vinegar. The organic hair conditioner can be used as an intensive leave in treatment or a normal conditioner to be rinsed out.

To help detangle and strengthen your locks you can use the miessence Organic Hair Repair Treatment which also rebuilds the hairs elasticity.

How often should I use a treatment on my bleached, damaged hair?

Use an organic hair treatment once a week to reconstruct and maintain a healthy hair.

How often should I use a hair treatment on my natural hair?

Use every other week to maintain your healthy pure hair.

How often should I use a hair treatment on my colored hair?

It depends on the quality and structure of the hair. If it is healthy you may want to use a treatment every other week for maintenance. If your hair is brightly colored in reds or purple tones you should be cautious of using a treatment unless it is specifically made for a colored hair as it tends to strip the hair of the color.

How do I use the organic treatment?

Apply the hair treatment to wet, clean hair and leave in for 2-4 minutes or longer.

Organic hair care - John Masters

Eco friendly green and natural organic hair care. Paraben and sulfate free certified organic hair care and styling products. Getting a gorgeous hairstyle doesn't mean you can't be globally earth conscious. John Masters Organics is quickly rising to the forefront of organic and natural salon beauty products for both skin and hair. Founder and New York native, John Masters, started styling hair in 1975, fresh out of high school. At the time, the inhalation of harsh salon chemicals weren't really much of a concern. However, Masters soon turned to organic food for a more healthy lifestyle. After discovering the negative side-effects of chemicals such as Ammonia and sulfates, Masters decided to look more closely to how they effected the body, as most were staples in common hair care products.

When he saw how damaging and dangerous synthetic chemical ingredients are for both the human body and the environment, Masters stopped styling and began inventing. John Masters Organics was created to provide a healthy alternative to common skin and hair care pollutants. All products are designed without petro-chemicals, artificial colors or fillers, sulfates, parabens, genetically modified organisms, or animal testing. Instead, the base of the products lie in wholesome, everyday ingredients such as Apple Cider Vinegar and Essential Oils like Lavender and Jojoba, which became the primary ingredients in popular products, such as the Herbal Cider Hair Clarifier & Color Sealer.

John Masters Organics products are certified organic by Quality Assurance International, California Certified Organic Farmers, and the Organic Crop Improvement Association. Furthermore, all products are vegan except for those containing Beeswax or Honey. Because Masters believes strongly in love of all living creatures, the company actively supports Animal Haven, a no-kill shelter located in New York City, and is endorsed by PETA.
