Pai Skincare

Pai Skincare is a gorgeous natural skincare line focusing on sensitive skin. My skin is not very sensitive except during the coldest winter months when it gets really dry and easily gets red.

I have tried Pai Skincare Rosehip Oil which is said to be a miracle oil. I think you could compare it to argan oil as it is great for skin in every way.

The oil is light and absorbs easily onto skin. I have used it night time instead of a night cream and I quite liked it. My skin has felt fresh and rejuvenated when I wake up in the morning so I would highly recommend rosehip oil to anyone asking.

Pai Skincare is available here >

Where to buy natural skincare and haircare

Here are my current favorite shopping sites for natural and organic skincare, haircare and make up that ships worldwide:

Where do you shop?

Chocolate Sun

Wintertime in Sweden means pale skin. Gorgeous at times, but I still feel like a zombie looking at myself in the mirror.

To make my skin look glowing with a bit of colour I use Chocolate Sun Sunless Tanning Lotion for body and Gel for face.

They are easy to use and as I don't like stuff that takes time and needs a lot of work these products are perfect. I just have a shower, use the Chocolate Sun Body Scrub, dry off, then apply the gel on my face, and the cream om my body. It's like applying a moisturizer! The only thing I do after applying is make sure I wash my hands thoroughly and wipe off my nails, cuticles and between fingers and toes to make sure I don't get stains.

I then walk around in my robe (it's white but I never got a stain!), for about 20 minutes or so, just to make sure the color is completely dried into skin. I think you don't have to wait that long but I just like to be sure:)

As most of my reviewed products lately these come from Swedish Beauty Factory, I love that site and I actually bought these myself (thought I could spend a little money there after receiving plenty of samples)! Finding sites that have gorgeous natural cosmetics and look fabulous are hard to find, will list some favorites in next post!

Kahina Skincare

I'm loving Kahina Skincare! I received a Travel Basic kit from Swedish Beauty Factory, thank you! And have tried out the cleanser, facial lotion and argan oil for a couple of weeks now.

They are really nice for my skin. Not perfect, but nice. All products are based on organic argan oil from Morocco and are suitable for all skin types.

The argan oil is very nourishing and I think the products I received are perfect for normal to dry and maybe even sensitive skin. They have a gentle and natural scent and the packaging is clean and sleek.

Since summer my skin has been almost oily, which is something new for me, so these products were just a tad too moisturizing, but I think they will be great in a month or two when winter has arrived.

Kahina also do a beautiful job in Morocco where they support the Berber women extracting the argan oil. 25% of all sales goes straight back to them to help them develop their community. Love it!

Have you tried Kahina?

Organic deodorant

I am really having trouble finding the perfect organic deodorant.

I liked c/o Gerds deodorant and also a Swedish label called Rosenserien. None of them were perfect though and I am looking at Soapwallas organic deodorant.

Any more ideas? Criterias for my perfect deodorant: Lightly scented or neutral with roll on.

Review Karmameju organic body scrub

This organic body scrub More with sea salt by Karmameju is really lovely. It has a refreshing scent of spearmint, grapefruit and patchouli and is easy to apply to the skin. I used it in the shower after a quick rinse and my skin felt smooth and soft afterwards.

My skin was quite dry after staying out in the sun, but I have now been using this organic body scrub once a week and my skin feels so much better!

See all Karmameju products at their website karmameju.dk.

Leave in hair care

I love my hair and I love when it is shiny and healthy. Summer aren't always too kind to it though which is why I always apply a leave in conditioner or treatment after I wash it.

These are my top 3 leave in favorites for healthy summer hair!

1. EDGE Natural Hair Care Anti Frizz - Leaves my damaged blonde tresses silky and smooth. A very light product that doesn't make the hair too shiny. Protects against UV rays and heat tools.

2. Less is More Lavender Smooth Balm - A little heavier than Anti Frizz, I use this when my hair is in a worse condition than today, extremely damaged and dry. Protects against heat tools.

3. John Masters Organics Shine On - This is what it is called. It adds plenty of shine and also protects against heat tools and daily wear and tear. I wear this when I want shine, perfect for parties and sleek hair do's! Be careful and use only a tiny, tiny bit!

Haina Organic Skin Care

Today I opened my inbox and discovered I had totally missed out on a bath bomb give away, what a shame! Especially as it was organized by gorgeous Haina organic skin care, a label I have never heard of but that I will keep my eyes on from now on.

Haina organic skin care aim to give you a healthy, glowing skin with high quality products based on organic ingredients. Have a look in their cute shop and feel happy reading titles such as Loved Moisturizer and Beautifully Radiant.

Suki Skin Care Review

The latest addition to my bathroom shelves are 3 products from Suki that Swedish Beauty Factory kindly sent for med to try out:

Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser - This cleanser is light, grainy, and has a fresh citrus scent. I'd say this is more like a facial scrub than a cleanser as it is too grainy to wash away eye make up, but I love it. I have used it once a week for 3 weeks now and my face feels rejuvenated and fresh. In between I am using my M Picaut Cleanser so perhaps the effect would be even better if I would only be using Suki products?!

Concentrated Balancing Toner - A refreshing toner that helps out with my greasy T-zone. My skin is normally the same all over my face but since I got a fringe again in November last year my forehead goes greasy... The toner has a citrus scent and comes in a spray bottle so is easy to use, I love spray toners as it also removes the need for cottonballs.

Pure Facial Moisture Nourishing - A facial serum with carrot and evening primrose to use at night. Perfect for my combo skin. I love getting a bit extra care for my skin night time and this oil is not oily at all once it's been absorbed by the skin.

My overall impression of Suki from the products I have tried is very good and I would love to try out some body care products as well such as the Velvet Body Lotion!

Have you tried out Suki and what did you think?

Sans Ceuticals

Another label from Kiwiland (NZ) is Sans Ceuticals, a professional hair salon label with hair and body care.

I have had my eyes on this label ever since I lived in Sydney and people got talking about it.

I just love the soft hazy feel of the brand!

Antipodes

I'm really curious about Antipodes from NZ. I love the packaging and some of the names on the products. How about Namaste hand wash or Nirvana body wash?!

This is how they describe themselves on their website and I like what I'm reading:

'We present you with a unique and beautiful New Zealand skincare range. Bioactive botanical ingredients are carefully selected for performance and blended with nutrient rich avocado oil to help powerfully anti-age your skin. And while we create Antipodes® scientifically validated, protein-rich formulations, we're deeply committed to caring for the Earth: we are certified organic, a carbon zero certified business & all our products are officially approved for vegetarians.'

Anyone tried it any of their products yet?

Organic beauty online stores

There are so many online shops retailing organic beauty it can be difficult knowing where to spend your hard earned cash.

Here are some shops that I like at the look of them. The only ones I have shopped at are Swedish Beauty Factory and Saffron Rouge, both of which I liked.

Content - British online store stocking niche natural beauty labels. They have most of my favorite brands such as Absolution, Pai Skincare, Patyka, Inika, Ren Skincare and RMS Beauty and many more, lots to choose from!

Bathing Beauty - Australian store also focusing on niche natural beauty labels. Honore des Pres, Rahua and Jo Wood Organics to name a few.

Love Lula - Europes largest natural apothecary. Here you can find just about any organic beauty label you can come to think of.

Saffron Rouge - US Online natural beauty store stocking labels such as Badger, Suki, Lulu Organics, Inika and Dr. Hauschka.

Swedish Beauty Factory - Up and coming natural beauty store focusing on Swedish and Scandinavian beauty labels but also features international brands such as Rostedt and Rich Hippie.

Less is More Review

I have had the opportunity to try out some fab Less is More hair care and styling so here is a a short review of the ones I tried:

Lindengloss Shampoo & Conditioner - A great and gentle cleanser, did not make my scalp itchy as many other shampoos tend to do in winter time. Also my thin hair felt light after using it along with the matching conditioner. They are both for color treated and damaged hair so I did expect them to feel heavier on my hair than they did. Light as a feather and my hair did not feel greasy day 2 as it does with the Hamadi shampoo I used previously to this.

Limesouffle - A light and creamy wax, did not do much for my short hair but I don't think it was the right product for me as I like my short style sleek and shniy.

Mascobadogel - My favorite to go along with the shampoo and conditioner! Gives great volume and not much product feel, it does it's work without being noticed, I like! I applied it in towel dried hair, then combed it through and dried it with a bit of volume.

Kieselwax - Not for me but perfect for others! I believe this one will be an all time favorite for all eco nerds and hairdressers! Very similar to Sebastians matte clay which have been hard to replace, especially with organic options. Perfect for short, messy hair do's.

Original & Mineral

Ammonia Free hair color with a twist. Original & Minerals mission is to challenge the artificial norms of professional haircare with the message that healthy hair begins when it's free from stress.

I like the sound of that, don't you?

This ammonia free hair color was all the rage when I lived in Sydney about 2 years ago and by the look of it, it still is. I love the edgy packaging that adds a bit of glamour to the organic world and I am dying to try out their hair care products as well.

Trevarno Review

Earlier this year I received some Trevarno skincare products from Swedish Beauty Factory (SBF don't carry Trevarno anymore but you can order from Trevarnos own website) and after some testing here is what I thought of them:

Organic Eye Cream - This organic eye cream feels quite thick and it's not as light and smooth as I like eye creams, also it doesn't really do anything for my skin so no, not my favorite.

Overnight Replenishing Cream - A favorite. It is thick and creamy and perfect for night time, especially in Swedish winter when the air is dry and skin thirsty. Something you should consider when choosing Trevarno is that they are all-organic and the lack of modern tehnology in all it's forms means back to basic and this is the best all-organic night cream I have tried so far.

Rosewater Camomile & Skin Toner - This facial mist and toner is fabulous. Very refreshing and I have used it both as a toner and refresher when working in front of the computer.

Rose & Jojoba Cleanser - The cleanser efficiently washes away make up and feels gentle on the skin. I like the milky texture and feel. I had to use something else (jojoba oil) to remove the eye make up though.

Nail polish

My new favorite nail polish from Butter LONDON. Tea With The Queen is a nude, beige color that goes more towards pink than my previous favorite, Yummy Mummy, which is a perfect soft blend of grey and beige.
